Another long shot - the Buccaneers
This one has me completely flummoxed;
When I was in primary school I read a series of books which I think were called the Buccaneers (although I could be wrong - I know they were about buccaneers anyway).
As far as I can recall, the plotlines followed a young lad who used to go into this other world/reality or somesuch and have adventures with these pirate chaps. However, I'm completely stumped as to who wrote them, what they were actually called, the main characters or who published them. It's really irritating me now.
I know there were quite a few of them, but they were quite thin books. It wasn't anything to do with Dan Tempest, or the Iain Lawrence trilogy.
So does anyone have any idea what they were!?
No idea Rob, but there's a long list of pirate related fiction books here that might jog your memory http://pirateshold.buccaneersoft.com/pirate_fiction.html
Nope, sadly it's not there. Thanks though!
The books may have been called 'The Swashbucklers', or 'the Smugglers', but I'm preety certain they were the Buccaneers!
When were you at school ?
Started primary school in 1989/90, so would probably have read them around '93 or '94 - they were higher age primary as I remember from the school library :)
