Timmo, You certainly have to be in the right mindset to paint or sculpt. Must be difficult for those who make their living from this hobby. Like you I enjoy the benefit of butterflying to reading and research. John

Queen's Birhday w/e coming up here which means Monday off, if the weather is good then its shredding some tress on the menu - if its bad then its paint paint paint paint.....

I've never understood why everyone else has a day off for the Queen's Birthday but here in the UK we don't....I assume it's Eccles' fault :hmm: My painting has bene hit by work too. Badly behind at the moment, although I'm catching up a bit as British Auxiliary Legion riflemen are quite quick to paint, all in dark green and black. Reminds me that I must find time for Tarleton and the other British Legion...

As a UK civil servant I do get a day off for the Queen's Birthday Giles. But as I'm consistent to my principles, I don't take it  .

I can't get any painting time in either at mo - theres always something that needs bloody doing >:(

Norman D. Landings- 05-27-2009

This week I shall be mostly flocking! The whole speed-painting thing has been a bit more productive than I reckoned on, and there's quite a queue built up for base-finishing of one sort or another. ...might wave a brush at me free Perry riflemen from WI, though...

Battledamaged- 05-27-2009

Havent painted in ages, what with being very busy with work, and at the weekends going to South East London seeing the girlfriend! Must do something about that, still got stuff from last years Salute waiting to be painted, and this years Salute stuff!

John Ray- 05-27-2009

Battledamaged, Not sure how old you are, other than your 'stage name' sounds like you are 'past it'! But if you are a young man, Enjoy having a girlfriend, when you get old you only have memories. The hobby can wait! John

Timmo- 05-27-2009

Yup I'm painting. I've made a start on the Bicorne ECW's. Nice figures to work on and easier than the Perry ECW I did a couple of years ago.

Big Dave- 05-28-2009

Trying to finish off loads of bits for sats game.

Comet5- 05-28-2009

Well, I've finally finished a box each of my Hundred Years War figures, only two boxes to go. Then to knock up some scenery.

Giles- 05-28-2009

John, I don't know how old Battledamaged is, but having met him I strongly suspect he is older than the youthful twenty-something that he looks! He helps direct the chinooks that keep flying over Canary Wharf and which I see each day from my office window.

Gungnir- 05-28-2009

Probably not till this weekend, when I'll throw some more paint in the general direction of Coffeyville.

goat major- 05-28-2009

going to give the free Perrys a go from the front of WI. Should make a change before getting back to the seemingly never ending 10mm AWI brits

Norman D. Landings- 05-29-2009

Right... I was going to be as idle as humanly possible without actually developing a pressure sore today, but in fact I've flocked everything that needed flocking, and based everything that needed basing. I blame this thread.
