I have today sculpted a most beautiful Spanish Lady(Eve) with apple, her face actually looks like that of pretty woman.
Plus 100's of milliput apples.
Tomorrow Adam!
Timmo, Yes I am a Lucky person.

Does this mean that you've decided that the Almighty did it the wrong way round?

RtL, At my age Who Cares! She looks gorgeous and fully curved. But there again my eyesight leaves much to be desired, however I now have the advantage over most, I no longer need 'specs' for close up work.
Fortunately, I will not be painting this milliput figure. All my vignettes are outsourced.

I can happily announce that the first artillery car now reached a stage that I could apply rivets.
Yesterday I shook out my keyboard. besides the usual cookie crumbs, lint and beard hairs a rivet fell out.
And I put the bluddy keyboard away when I work!

I think I'll do some rivets tonight.

Some 25 years ago I was given some original (never manufactured) horses. These were boxed away as they were rather small for my figures..
Well today one horse was resurrected, head and neck removed, new milliput neck etc added, tail changed, big ears, brass wire reins and now we have a great mule.
Spanish officer albeit not finished mounts the mule. Dismounted man servant(when sculpted)will finish off this vignette.
If the weather cools tomorrow I would hope to finish off this piece, if not then at least by Thursday lunchtime.

I am currently working on a batch (72 figure battalions) of the "old" Elite Miniatures 1806 French infantry in bicorns. These are the original sized figures that Peter Morbey first released in the late 1980s or early 1990s. He later redesigned the French and made them larger. I have always liked the older versions better.
If anyone has any of the original Elite French and wants to get rid of them or otherwise divest them at rediculously high prices, then I'm your man. Give me buzz - I want to buy more.

Sadly I shall be in Wales on yet another holiday (my girlfriend is very good at ensuring I go away often these days) – but thank you for your kind offer – I really must sort myself out one of these days and pop over.
On the workbench:
All the Perry Sudan I need for a modest game are painted and now being varnished and based – its going quite well with perhaps 65 per cent completed. I have a few more Perrys in primer for the future and have had an idea for doing some in long dry grass so I do know I'll be adding to this collection even if just a little at a time.
Other than that I managed to buy a copy of the Peter Pig Sudan Patrols for a just a few quid on ebay. I thought I'd try and convert the scenarios to suit the TFL rule set.
After this I'm not sure what will be next up on the workbench but I do know I need a change of era to captivate my interest which has waned a little over recent weeks.

Any thoughts on a new period, Timmo?

Timmo, That's fine, I have another 10 'shoots' planned until the end of 2010, so maybe one of those late next year. By then my new Spanish army will be in front of the camera.
As I write this my new milliput Spanish officer on his mule is drying under a lamp. Now onto the man servant.

24 Horses
12 for some arab light cavalry
6 artisan cav figs for some WW1 Arab irregulars and
6 Harradrhim horses
Maybe hope to start the riders tomorrow
I do it this way because I find painting large nos of horses at a time easier in allowing more variation on browns and will occasionally hit on a nice mix of acolour that will then end on a few of the waiting horses!

John – as always thank you, I will make it one day!
Giles, VB…
Not intending to start anything completely new to me more going back to things I have already and adding to them. I've only one army left that I currently really want – an AB Napoleonic AngloSpanish force. Not sure if I'll go back to this project or some more planes next, I'll have to see.
Nothing else really grabs me enough to want to paint it. Sure there are loads of things I like in a 'oooh shiny new' sense but not enough to want to paint them long term and I'd on reflection I'd be much happier just adding little bits to what I have. One day though when the right combo of new rules and figures appears who knows… but it will be 15/18mm or smaller for sure.
