VB. Depends on what sort of "collateral damage" you are willing to incur. I'm sure I could have plenty of fun with a sledge-hammer or an axe, but you might also need to renovate the floorboards as well. Ants

The kitchen floor Or more precisley the tiles on it - hammer and bolster, 30 mins to remove 6 tiles and there are farsands of 'em (slight exaggeration) Anyone got any ideas how to remove ceramic floor tiles that doesn't require a JCB and or a nuclear device? VB exactly what your doing – the hard way. I took up the two floors in my dads house for him when I was in my early teens, one holiday. I learnt how to get the tiles, which in this instance were like slim terra cotta bricks out without damaging them so he could build a couple of low walls with them in the vegetable garden. In those days I wasn't figure painting so I enjoyed the task and didn't mind the time it took. However I'm sure there are now power tools to help, perhaps a mini Kangeroo hammer or whatever such a thing is called these days…

Short of a jack hammer the old fashioned way with a hammer & chisel is the only way. It took two experienced workers 2 days to take the slate up in my old kitchen.

Oh the joys of working from home from time to time. Having spent much of the last week waiting for clients to get the work sorted for me I've been able to sneak in odd hours of painting throughout the day. Today was supposed to start with a work file but it hasn't arrived and no amount of chasing is going to make it arrive either so: Sudan stuff all painted! Huzzar! There are now the final 8 command figures to varnish and base and 6 infantry to base. Next up: A 28mm King Charles I

Next up: A 28mm King Charles I is the 28mm with or without the head ?

John Ray- 10-21-2009

Timmo, Hope you enjoy painting the King Charles I figure. For me I am still sculpting/converting Spanish artillery figures for the coastal forts. With poor daylight today only managed to complete one gunner resting his weight on pole(worm). The batch made so far are in various clothes, full uniform, waistcoats, shirt sleeves etc. Still to paint the many large caliber guns mounted on garrison carriages. John

Generally with the games we play, the table is cluttered with terrain, figures, etc that it makes it difficult to throw dice. As a result, we have a "toss box" - normally a GW box set lid (these boxes are great for terrain storage). However, this takes up a lot of space and the more "enthusiastic" dice throwers often miss the box altogether. So last night I decided to make a dice tower out of thick carboard. Took me about an hour and a half to build, but it works great! Tonight I'll paint it and then get some 15mm WW2 Germans ready for painting tomorrow and on the weekend.

I`m off work for the rest of the week (had a minor op, quite sore) so being a plastic whore, I bought the new GW Space Wolves and am going to build and paint them, Oh and finish my Croc games Anubis army, only 12 archers to finish!

Some sort of stand off scenario, one would imagine? :coffee: Ronan There were four major (company level+) engagments during Pershing`s Punitive Expedition, but to be honest they were very one-sided. I've written an fictional game where a Mexican General has seen the opportunity to raid a US supply deport to gain arms and equipment plus kudos from the locals as a "Mexican patriot". Allows me to pit my entire Mexican "army" (roughly a battlion) against about 2 companies of Yanks, should be fun ;)

Richard what rules do you use ? is this a WW1 style engagement ?
