don't worry Jeremy; the mere fact that you are doing the Peninsular shows that you are an erudite fellow of good taste and distinction! ROFL

When the British are rebased, I have the opposing French to paint up. And then, I know, no matter how hard I try to resist, I will end up buying Spanish too. Why any sane person would spend good money on Spanish, and then paint them up, is beyond me. But I know I'll do it... :mental: :mental: :mental:
Well I've been trying to sort out the Sudan Perry stuff that got messed up but it only makes me bad tempered so it's going away again. I don't know how I'm going to get back into it so I can get them done and move on…
Any ideas?
Just bought enough rod to make at least another 4000 rivets.
Please shoot me.
Finished a platoon of WW1 British for Mud and Blood (in 6mm). Busy with the Germans, need to research webbing and kit colours. Anybody got any good sites for me to look at to get this kind of info?
Yesterday after 10 days of painting and decorating New Spain I finished the last 9 inch by 9 inch module, the average height was circa 6 inches. Six modules in 10 days was good going given the complexity of designs.
That now completes the collection of buildings. I have sufficient to represent parts of Europe, America(AWI) and New Spain(including Howard's which I have painted).
Now on the workbench are the 26 Austrian cuirassiers which I sidelined to start painting the buildings. This will be the first Austrian heavy cavalry regiment for the Wars of Bavarian Succession. Based on current progress this collection will be finished by the end of June 2010, with slightly over 2200 figures.

Part way through making a 28mm Indian indigo plantation. A nice house with veranda, two houses for the workers, wooden drying platforms, three connecting dye tanks, water hole with elaborate bucket system and several fields of plants.
Another British Peninsula regiment with a mixture of Perry plastics, Victrix bodies with Perry heads and some with Perry muskets etc, and Foundry metals. Then its back to the SYW as my boxes of the new Zvesda Prussian grenadiers have arrived. V impressed with them.
French light have made it to the front of the bench from languishing next to the packet of biscuits at the back :)
My Artisan WW1 arab cavalry arrived today, only a pack of each but I can't wait to get them on the workbench - wednesday will be undercoat day
I've just mapped out what I want to paint over the next 3.5 months - that's all I have left before the kid arrives and my painting world ends  . It's not much when put down on paper... :hmm:
Nappies, and yes that's one of the signs of the end. I'm burnt on Rohirrim for the moment so I'm taking the plunge on some Perries...

A stain, from where the glue bottle fell over yesterday. Did you know that airplane glue can eat the lines right off a cutting mat?
