Painted Victrix Napshttp://www.sdean-forum.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=20339&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
A Steve Dean forum post deserving of wide exposure. These are perhaps the best painted Victrix French Naps I've seen. I'm not a fan, generally, of the Victrix sculpting style, but when painted like this they look pretty good....
I think any figures would look good painted that well, but those are special.
Those are ace - pictures saved for inspiration, I've got a couple of packs of these to paint up for a Peninsula skirmish next year.
The faces in particular are wonderful, near photographic in quality.
As a side note, I'm deeply impressed that the ECW Dragoons Warlord just put out have both mounted and dismounted figs in the same box. Now if they'd only wise up and do some bluddy plastic guns!
Those are outstanding. I have a couple of boxes but can't seem to summon up the strength to make them let alone paint a load.
Blimus, they are superb!
I can paint, but seeing stuff like this leaves me standing in awe.

friggin friggin
they look real - that's the highest complement that I can pay
Faces particularly are superb.
I regularly visit the SD Forum for inspiration, and technical tips, but these are of a very special standard.
Outstanding brush work. You can really learn a lot about painting figures just by studying those pictures. I like the way the painter blends the color transitions from light to dark. I may have to get a box or two of these in bicorns.
