What I'm referring is either (a) the woman who thinks she can talk on her mobile phone and pay/pack at the same time (she can't) or (b) the woman who has to complete all her packing before she can take out her card (usually well hidden inside her bag - she hasn't thought to get it ready while queuing) and pay. If there are two queues, one with 2 women and the other with 4 men, the latter will be the quickest every time. And that my dears is why I do all my shopping online!!..... :D :D :D

It's a complete myth that women can multi-task, as anyone who's ever stood in the queue behind a woman at a checkout till can testify.... Or been hit by a car being reversed whilst the driver talks on her mobile and waves to a friend on the opposite side of the road.

Ronan the Librarian- 05-19-2009

Well, apparently it was my fault because I was parked perfectly legally at the side of the road, engine off, reading a newspaper. Oh, and I should have seen her coming and got out of her way. Third time in two years I've been hit by a reversing mum outside my younger son's school - twice when parked, once when coming round a blind corner and met the reverser-ette going the wrong way down a one-way street.

Try getting side swiped by mum in hurry as she fails to stop at a stop sign. I was on a bike as well.

Ronan the Librarian- 05-19-2009

Bet she learned some new words!

Eccles- 05-19-2009

Got knocked off and she just drove off. She told Police that she stopped and asked if I was OK and I ignored her so she drove off. Also, it was my fault because I just rode off of the muddy grass verge and rode into the side of her. She obviously has no idea how thin road tyres and mud don't function together. Her word against mine.

Sounds like a midnight visit from Purple is in order.

And I do know where she lives because I tracked the 4x4 (yes, it wasn't just a car) down and I know where she lives.

OK I give up women are scurrilous creatures!! (some of them) anyway!! :) I'm off to keep quiet and paint some more little fellows for my FIW project!! :) :coffee:

Galloping Major- 05-20-2009

Opened a bit of a can of worms there  Anyone for FIW? ;)

Duck Crusader- 05-20-2009

Yes, probably with either Empire of Liberty for fast play/larger actions or WAB Old West for skirmishes. Thankfully they can use the same basing for the most part. Your figs are definitely getting added to the list, but first the Romans.

OK I give up women are scurrilous creatures!! (some of them) anyway!! :) No, they're fine - beautiful even - when not in charge of anything with wheels. That includes shopping trolleys. :isaidwhat: I'm off to keep quiet and paint some more little fellows for my FIW project!! :) :coffee: I'm having trouble envisaging the keeping quiet bit......... :D

Galadriel- 05-20-2009

Aaah Ronan, if you only knew!! :) I am quietness itself!! in real life not interwebby life that is :) :blow:

She's just trying to lure you into arm's reach. Mine's of Scottish descent as well and they're all crafty like that.
