Giles, You guys with front line jobs I applaud, your dedication to real world and hobby, 6.30am painting time followed by 24/7 in the city!
Mind you when I was a real worker I had many a 4.am start, flying/training/driving North, South, East and West. At least I had the benefit of retiring at 51.

Grief, my generation won't be retiring until we're 70, given the way the economy's going...Tonight's been a bit of a disaster, painting-wise, I admit, but should be off home soon...:(

Giles, If your home before 12 you are slacking! what about the late late meetings! I called them the pre dawn RAIDS! Overnight at the RAC Club or the Horseguards and into meetings in the city for daylight.

You have me completely mystified John, as I don't even own any AWI figures . . . but thanks for the offer! ;)

Sorry Greystreak, it was Gunfreak!!! I wish you guys would at least use your Christian Names!!!!!! All this cloak and daggers stuff is a little childish!

I've been getting a bit of painting in, squeezing in an hour or two every couple of days. Some WW1 French and some ancient Goth cavalry for a game of Impetus. The latter are old Whitecross games miniatures I've had languishing in a container for the past few years. These have taken a fair amount of prep time with a file, pin vice drill, wire and epoxy, but I'm happy with how they are turning out.
Weekends I've mostly been spending time gardening, at the gym, getting house chores done and socializing, but I'll be away running a seminar for a week in June where I won't be able to do any hobby stuff at all, so this weekend I want to devote a full afternoon and evening to finishing my terrain piece and painting minis.
That and I've finally found a decent matte spray finish in place of the Testor's Dullcoat I used to use back in Canada!
Giles, You guys with front line jobs I applaud
Now where I grew up that would have implied that Giles is a dope pusher...
That or he crawls around on his stomach in the middle of the night and places barbed wire entanglements at strategic locations throughout The City. :hmm:

Pension age has just gone up by 2 years in Oz.
I've ben franctically busy one way or another & not much has happened hobbywise this month. However I've indulged in a spot of terrain building this week. Some photos to follow shortly.

I have a nice long weekend coming up. A bank holiday monday plus 2 days leave hehe.
My main focus will be making a pile of terrain but I'm also going to try a three pronged assault on some 28mm US, some 15mm Stugs and Tigger 2's and back to a long neglected Orc and Goblin Warmaster army. Oh and maybe some LORT stuff as well. I'm gonna be busy..

thanks John.
The Edelweiss Hussars are a fictitious unit for 18 century. The figures themselves are rather nice sculpts- a joy to paint!

Painting my way through four boxes of 54mm Revell 100 years war figures. After months of painting 20mm it's like being able to see again.
