:hmm: :beg:

Mine arrived today but postie is holding it hostage til I provide a signature. Fascist bastards! :grr:

Count Belisarius- 06-17-2009

That means I should get mine at work tomorrow! :) Although after last night and today I really feel like doing a Reggie Perrin...

Prince of Darkness- 06-17-2009

I received my email this afternoon, so hopefully Friday.....

Greystreak- 06-17-2009

Although after last night and today I really feel like doing a Reggie Perrin... What, praytell, is 'doing a Reggie Perrin'? Just for those of us who are 'TV-challenged' . . .

Eccles- 06-17-2009

One day, Reggie gets fed up of his lot and stages his own disappearance.

Greystreak- 06-17-2009

Ah, sounds 'kewl', as my sons would say.

Eccles- 06-17-2009

Word! I might try to struggle out of bed early and nip round the post office before work tomorrow. Only problem is that ots in the exact opposite direction to work.

Eccles, word of advice: Be very, very carefull when signing things that have the word "Army" anywhere on them. Last time I did they kept me for a year and a half, without even a choice in colour of clothing.

I shall read the small print first. Thanks for the tip off.

Eccles, word of advice: Be very, very carefull when signing things that have the word "Army" anywhere on them. Last time I did they kept me for a year and a half, without even a choice in colour of clothing. It's a mans life in the Salvation Army, eh Gungnir...? :blah:

Gungnir- 06-17-2009

No, we didn't have any donuts...

Giles- 06-18-2009

A couple of years ago the banner adverts at the top of the forum page included one for the US Army. I clicked on it by mistake and then, whilst trying to return to the forum, clicked on another link by mistake. Looking at the page I was on I realised that I was one click away from submitting an application form to join up. Mind you, being in the US Army probably isn't that different from being on this forum...

Count Belisarius- 06-18-2009

Well, my copy was sitting on my desk when I arrived at work. I really wish they wouldn't just ship it in a jiffy bag. The top of the spine is pushed in and a couple of corners on cover are bent. It's just not the best way to ship books, especially £60 ones. I'll post something about the book itself later when I've stopped being annoyed...

Eccles- 06-18-2009

You're annoyed? I made a special trip to the sorting office this morning to be told that my copy hadn't made it back there yet. :grr: Will try again tomorrow morning and if its not there, they'd better start getting the body bags out. :whack:
