Agreed their bluster is annoying - as are some of their metals prices which can be eye-watering.
But I like the plastic figures - round here the kiddies use them as Empire troops for Warhammer.
No names, no pack drill but apaprently Warlord aren't exactly good at replying to trade e-mails or indeed getting orders right.....
They were very poor at sorting out my friends order.
I've placed two orders with them and both have arrived very quickly, with regular email updates on progress and 100% accurate. Their only black mark for me was the packaging: my last order was for a couple of small packs of metal figures and 3 pots of paint, but they arrived in a huge box that was 95% filled with those white squeezy things.
Missing one of the mounted lads from my Romans order, just the horseman's torso though I got the horse. Two and a half weeks of e-mails and still not corrected...
Re the Warlords I can't work out why the last pikeman is about to get into the thick of the fight but his helmet is still stuck on this belt as was often the case when marching. Then again from what re-enactors have said a wide brim hat is useless for a pikeman – it gets in the way. Sorry Warlord but when I met you at Salute you told me that yours were the ONLY figures that have EVER got the head gear totally right… Hmmmm
Equally why is one guy is in fully armour with tassets but no helmet and again a wide brim hat?
Incidentally, does anyone know if Paul Hicks did these ? Or are they the work of another sculptor ? :hmm:
A.
They don't somehow look like Hicks' work to me but I could be wrong.
