Rich on Meatballs
Just listened to Rich being interviewed on Neil Shuck's Meeples & Miniatures interview special at http://www.meeplesandminiatures.co.uk/ and I just wanted to say that it was a truly outstanding piece. Rich, mate, in all seriousness, you're a credit to the hobby and it was really nice to have the chance to listen to your thoughts without the interruptions we usually get at shows whenever I've bumped into you. Neil did a cracking job too, asking just the right questions and giving you plenty of space to talk. I'm sure the podcast will win you many TFL converts. Henry's rating: 10/10

Thanks very much for your kind words Henry Getting me to start talking is the easy bit; getting me to shut up is somewhat harder! I have had lots of email from people saying they enjoyed the show, which is really nice. Oh, and one nasty email accusing me of "boasting" and "talking crap", which made me laugh. What did he expect; I ALWAYS talk crap!

Rich I've emailed Neil to say how much I enjoyed the show, so here it is again… I really enjoyed the show. Why would somebody bother to email with a negative comment, I don't get it, why bother? I did suggest to Neil that he get you and Henry together but I think he felt he may be a bit redundant in such company! However IMHO Neil is turning into Wargamers Parkinson. As Henry wrote, he knows the right questions to ask and when.

Ah, but Timmo, to some gamers I am the anti-Christ. Personally I just like the red costume and the funny feet. Oh, and the horns of course.

Why would somebody bother to email with a negative comment, I don't get it, why bother? Oh, that's nothing, because it's free. I'm always impressed by people who even buy an envelope and a stamp to slag me off by post! The best one I had told me I had "...betrayed my Old School roots" for including stuff in BG that isn't horse & musket. No, I'm not joking. I did suggest to Neil that he get you and Henry together but I think he felt he may be a bit redundant in such company! However IMHO Neil is turning into Wargamers Parkinson. As Henry wrote, he knows the right questions to ask and when. :D Hmm, yes, I think you'd probably have to shoot Rich and me to stop us talking! Your comment about Neil is spot on. He's become a very accomplished interviewer, and the work he puts in behind the scenes for zero financial gain is humbling. (I'm trying to persuade him to take a few more ads so that he at least can cover his not inconsiderable hosting costs.)

Rich, that chap must be on a very different wavelength to the rest of us! I found it to be a very entertaining & informative interview. I agree Henry, the interviews are becoming very polished & of consistently high standard in recent episodes.

I'm afraid I "switch off" whilst Neil drones on in the background Not a fan but of Rich, oh yes I am a fan

I've really enjoyed two I've listened to that included Henry and the last one with Rich. I haven't listened to many more, maybe another 2 or 3 but didn't find the Salute review that rivetting but I'd give the guy 11/10 for effort overall. I think he is getting more polished, I notice he is tending to use "and what have you" lest frequently now and wish him all the best
