There's a dice at the bottom of my garden, what should I do?
I'm not sure what I should about this but it's likely to keep me awake you see, so I think I might seek your advice. I've not come accross this one before so its a little tricky :hmm:
What does wargamers etiquette or protoccol dictate how I should proceed :eh:
Ok I'll explain - I played a game of GdeB against captain Chook today in my garage. Now in this locality, how shall we say.... the Chook is not exactly revered for his dice throwing ability :) Today however his dice throwing was (even if i say it myself)exceptional.......as in exeptionally bad
Showing great fortitude and courage he continued to send his French forward though tragically it seemed being forever jinxed by an uncanny ability to throw nothing more than a combination of ones and twos when attempting to charge. Finally after more than half a dozen failed attempts this normally calm and placcid man could take it no more......
He looked me in the eye..... "I'm going to do a Richard" he calmly announced (Richard another mate, is a dice abusing champion) and so proceeded after addressing the dice in some sort of Anglo- Saxon farewell - (a dialect not often heared in this part of quiet leafy Te Puna) gave a mighty heave of his arm and sent the offending dice through the air towards the lower reaches of the garden.
There then followed a very brief period of reflection and once again the utterance of what seemed a chant in the Anglo-Saxon dialect following which his relief seemed obvious. Therafter, with his composure and cheery manner seemingly returned, he resumed his efforts to send his troops forward until the game was concluded.
Therein lies the dilemma, what about those dice still out there in the dark, what does protoccol dictate should be done?

Find them to see if they came up 6 and then take cover

I'ld say go with the tree option, than hand the resulting new generation dice fruit to CC to ensure a frequent recurrence of his bad throws.
Do keep in mind that GM dice are frowned upon.
Also, who or what you buried before in your garden might have a bad influence on your crop.

I would find them, clean'em and in a game a couple of months away when The Chook will have forgotten all about them, slip them into a game. When the game ends with lamentable results for The Chook I would then inform him of the identity of the dice he had been using the entire game. I would then sit back and laugh in a most satisfied manner! lol

Send 'em to Eccles, says I!

Leave them, maybe they will grow into a dice tree.

Chook threw 'em, Chook should find 'em.

If you throw down in the woods today....

Someone obviously buried them because they brought bad luck to the dice thrower.

You are too kind in describing me as normally placcid. Sorry to have offended your dainty ears.
If I had more presence of mind I should have kept the offending die and later beat the s--t out it.

Don't worry about it yer Chookness. I've been known to hold dice executions. I line up my regular dice, place the offenders where they can see them, and then let 'em have it with the .22.

On the principle that a poor Pornstar shouldn't blame his tool...
To be honest some dice just are plain bad. No amount of loving, support can help. Best you can do is slip them in your mates dice box and rub your hands in glee..
Does Chook realise where he got them from VB?

Do you deliberately traverse down the line and pick out every tenth one?

No, but my buddy ARK does...
