Sorry, Kerry. John is quite right--the figures are AB Saxon gunners, I have only painted them as 1809 Hesse-Darmstadt. AB never made bona-fide Hesse-Darmstadt figures, and I wasn't up to Green-Stuff conversions for all 12 plumes, etc., so I settled for just did a brush-job. :(

Thanks for the ruleset my esteemed Count, I shall see if I can persuade my chaps to give them a try at our pre-SELWG game.

There are a set of counters for the Generals which I will be uploading later tonight as well.

Purps,
The metal Wodensfeld 20mms are nice figures with a huge range of infantry. As the guy who did them has passed away, there will be no artillery or cavalry. If you're interested, I can give you the new manufacturers address.
I am also thinking of supplementing my infantry with the Zvesda GNW Russians.

I've seen the Wodensfeld miniatures, they are gorgeous - I'm very tempted myself.
I have that Zvedza set in the cupboard to - so little time.. :)

Donald - I would be interested in knowing the current sellers of Wodensfeld. I correponded with the guy back in the early '90s and he had some first-rate ideas for future ranges. Sadly, lost contact and had no idea he had died. I have some of the French infantry and they are lovely casts and he had the dedication to do all ranks, including the NCOs.

Sun: Training run then give my gates a second coat of paint. An IABSM game in the afternoon with a mate.

Hoping to finish 7 figures tonight and then another 5 or 6 over the weekend, but time will be short as (a) off to buy baby buggy etc all day tomorrow and (b) off to buy tiles and stuff for bathroom re-fit all day on Sunday. Just 8 weeks to go now.... :spook:

I'm hoping to find the time to finish painting in the Sudan bases. There are five leaders and 12 bases of OR's to do. I've started painting a few more Sudan figures so might do a bit more on them as well.
Flags will be next week.
However family might visit this weekend in which case I won't get much done. We'll see.

I'm hip-deep in Old West stuff...
I've been replacing my Old, Old West collection (Warrior Miniatures & Tabletop Miniatures) with Grenadier & bits from Foundry & Dixon, but it's been sidelined for ages.
Then somebody arranged a game of 2HW's 'Blaze of Glory', so it kind of kick-started the painting... cracking on nicely.
Of course, I discovered loads more stuff I actually need, & had to order...

University in Birmingham for me on Saturday, the first real day of my MA Course. Looking forward to that hugely.
Sunday my mother is arriving on her broomstick for lunch. :takecover:
Somewhere amongst all that I am attempting to format LFS III for the printer.
