I rounded off the weekend with a game of Space Hulk against my son where he completely trounced me. The worm has turned i think - it's a slippery slope downhill now for me. Wheres the Coffee

Tonight I plan to touch up the splodges on 3 sections of 15mm WW2 British. Then start organising materials and planning for some WW2 terrain construction.
Sat: 24km training run with club mates, then varnishing my wooden doors at home. Will hopefully find the time to build some more terrain and varnish the Brits.
Sun: Swim for a mile at the gym, more varnishing of doors and then flock the Brits and (hopefully) more terrain building.

Crisis in Antwerp tomorrow!

I have been warned not to drool too much over the tables this time.

I'll take a ton of pics.

Lucky basterward! I would love to go to one of those conventions, but alas, living in SA, it's a tad difficult! beg

Also hoping to find the games table under all the clutter in the shed. It will be organised this weekend.... (maybe!)

Tonight, Matthew, I shall be in Antwerp attempting to drown myself in beer.

Tomorrow I shall be red-eyed and running the Mud & Blood game at Crisis after which four of us are booked into the best horse-meat restaraunt in Belgium for a slap up feed with lashings of vino collapso. Dizzy

Crisis is my favourite weekend of the year!

Tonight, I shall be leading a flight of Sopwith Camels, shepherding some Bristol Fighters over the trenches of Arras, whilst looking out for Richtofen's boys.

Wings of War miniatures, TFL Algy rules.

On the workbench this weekend two Confederate regiments and basing up a hundred pine trees.

Working on Saturday night, but a quick game of ROE eastern front on Saturday afternoon should compensate.

Sunday morning - sons on public duty with Scouts and Cubs; older son will also be hob-nobbing with the local ATC squadron, which he hopes to join in the New Year.

So Saturday evening will be spent polishing shoes, sewing on badges, finding woggles...... Hmmm?

On the hobby front I'll be getting in some painting time with some Old Glory Franks (one of the few OG ranges I actually like), but mostly I'll keep working on putting together my Soviet Tank Brigade for a game of Blitzkrieg Commander sometime in December or January.

I've been wavering between whether to brush-paint the vehicles or airbrush them, now that they are all nearing completion and are being given a black undercoat, so I might take out my long-neglected airbrush and start experimenting.

My workbench is once more a shambles, which is usually a good sign that things are moving forward!

Painting the Spanish coastal garrison guns, 36/42pdrs. All the artillerymen/naval figures having been made await the brush.

Then attempting to make a Turkish Flint-lock musket and if successful then a second, followed by a saber or two!!

Next week hopefully the first Ottoman sculpt.

It's dead quiet here at work, the factory is on short-time, half the admin staff are too. I drew Manager's short-straw to work today. So... I have built 4 paper buildings (re-inforced with cardboard) for my WW2 stuff. Devilish Devilish

Tonight will see some more work on my trenches.
Saturday I have a 10km race, then varnishing my windows, some work on my WW1 and then off to our running club for the prize giving evening.
Sunday, give the windows a second coat and then it's off to friends for poitjiekos!
